Special Keynote: Dr. Manya Whitaker
We are honored to welcome Dr. Manya Whitaker, President of Colorado College, as our keynote speaker. Dr. Whitaker will explore physicians’ roles as healers, teachers, and trusted partners in navigating medical knowledge, patient beliefs, and today’s complex information landscape.
Dr. Whitaker’s keynote will be followed by the EPCMS Annual Meeting, including important updates on the Medical Society’s work, priorities, and future direction.
The evening will also mark an important leadership transition. We will recognize Dr. Nicholas Piantanida for his service as Board Chair as he concludes his term and welcome Dr. Joel Tanaka as he steps into the role.
This fall marks our second event at the Garden of the Gods Resort & Club, a destination shaped by vision, legacy, and an appreciation for the extraordinary. Opened in 1951 by Al and Peggy Hill, the club began as a sanctuary for connection and respite overlooking the dramatic red rock formations of the Garden of the Gods. Today, it stands as a premier Colorado Springs landmark—renowned for its unmatched views, thoughtful hospitality, and longstanding tradition of bringing people together for moments that matter.
