El Paso County Medical Society, in partnership with Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention, invites you to join us for QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training. QPR is an evidence-based gatekeeper training designed to equip participants with the skills to recognize warning signs of suicide, learn how to ask the right questions, and connect individuals in crisis with appropriate help.
This training is valuable for healthcare professionals, community members, and anyone interested in learning practical, life-saving strategies for supporting individuals at risk.
QPR is a nationally recognized suicide prevention approach — much like CPR — that teaches participants to:
-Question a person about suicidal thoughts
-Persuade them to seek help
-Refer them to resources and support services
Through this training, attendees will gain increased awareness of the signs and signals that someone may be contemplating suicide and learn how to take meaningful action.
Dinner will be provided by Modern Market Eatery with a mix of protein and vegetarian options, plus non‑alcoholic beverages including seltzer, and water.
